This article was tried to examine the direction that the policy for the development of culture and arts in present Korean society should aim and how to set specific measures by re-illuminating the aesthetic thought of Confucianism. Specifically, as the core concept of Confucian aesthetic thought, the ideological foundation and central direction of the development plan of culture and arts policy were presented, focusing on the cultivation of the aesthetic consciousness and intuition of truth, goodness, and beauty[眞善美]. Confucianism in ancient China places emphasis on practical knowledge, but truth, goodness, and beauty are core values theoretically pursued. ‘Jin[眞]’ means truth without lies, closely related to human moral practice. ‘Goodness[善]’ is a desirable thing worth pursuing in a work or thing and is the result of ethical practice. ‘Beauty[美]’ is a Confucian moral character, or that human aesthetic sensibility is objectified as the beauty of external order and norms. In Confucianism, propriety and music(禮樂) is an objectification of truth, goodness, and beauty’s aesthetic consciousness by appropriately expressing the emotions of joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure[喜怒哀樂] when human beings engage in humanistic and political activities. The aesthetic sensibility of the rite system, which aims for concordant harmony with the political order, functions to harmoniously unify the practical truth and moral goodness. What the culture and arts development policy should aim for in Korean society is to harmonize the entire society while minimizing the marginalized areas in the sense that future cultural values should be universalized to all members.

The super human performance of deep learning gives rise to the drastic advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI). People in modern society are in turn likely to enjoy the latest AI-driven applications such as autonomous vehicles, neural translations, AI chat-bot and so on. The domain of art and culture research is also one of the active areas to which AI has paid much attention. In particular, AI has been highly contributed to exhibiting the interesting outcomes of generation on the artistic and cultural contents with respect to writing, painting, composing and dancing by themselves which are known to be the unique capacity of human beings. Within this context, we first introduce the foundation of AI and deep learning technology in brief which learn to generate the contents. Next, we present representative examples of the interdisciplinary research domain in order of (i) generation of painting based upon vision-based deep learning, (ii) generation of text-based contents such as novel, poem and essay and (iii) generation of music, motion and dancing contents based upon language-based deep learning. In doing so, we would like to investigate the potential of AI and future works to consider in the interdisciplinary research in art and culture.

This study is a review study on the study of dance movement therapy from the perspective of healthy aging. The purpose of this study was to present an effective alternative that can improve the quality of dance movement therapy programs for healthy aging of the elderly. In accordance with the area of healthy aging, dance movement therapy was subdivided into cognition functioning, physical functioning, and psychosocial functioning. Dance movement therapy are expected to have not only effects on physical functioning, but also improvement of cognitive function and psychosocial functioning of the elderly. In addition, although healthy aging was examined separately, it was found that they are closely related and complex interrelationships. Health care workers and culture and arts workers need to consider dance movement therapy as a complementary or substitute regime to medication in the elderly for healthy aging.

This study examines the various backgrounds and causes of the rapid popularization of golf in South Korea in recent years, during the COVID-19 era. The paper then attempts to diagnose the capabilities of the Korean golf industry and its future potential by examining the current status of the golf industry and its industrial value, especially from the consumer's point of view. It also presents the basis for the industry-level strategy as well as government-related policy implications that can appropriately respond to technological, cultural, and environmental changes that will continue in the post-COVID-19 era.

The purpose of this study is to examine the sustainability of the living art community, focusing on the case of the Busan Eulsukdo Dance Company, which is considered to have both the roles of enjoyment and participation by local residents as a living art community. To this end, the research questions are: First, what process does Eulsukdo Dance Company grow through as a sustainable living art community, second what are important values for Eulsukdo Dance Company members, and third, what kind of correlation does the personal value appear in the process of co-evolution of Eulsukdo Dance Company with co-evolution? is there a relationship. In-depth interviews were conducted with 18 members of the Eulsukdo Dance Company, and the value relationship was analyzed. Research Results First, the sustainability of the Eulsukdo Dance Company appears during the iterative process of 5 stages of co-evolution of the living art community. Second, looking at the value of the Eulsukdo Dance Company through Kahl's LOV, the motivational domain had the highest value function in the order of internal value>external value>interpersonal value>social value, and the detailed value was the enjoyment of life>self-satisfaction>a sense of achievement/self-esteem>life in the order of stimulation. Third, the individual values appearing in the process of co-evolution of the Eulsukdo Dance Company gradually rise in steps 1 to 3, and then in step 4, ‘artistic production’, all values rise sharply, and then in step 5, the value levels are generally maintained and connected to the second stage can be known. In conclusion, the Eulsukdo Dance Company goes through a five-step iterative process of co-evolution of the living art community, and is moving toward a ‘sustainable living art community that leads to voluntary participation’ with high enjoyment of life and high internal value.
